Report: Mayweather-McGregor PPV to cost $89.95

Fight fans looking to enjoy the biggest combat sports spectacle of the century from the comfort of their couches are going to have to shell out a pretty penny.

The pay-per-view purchase price for the highly-anticipated boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has been set at $89.95 ($99.95 for the HD broadcast), according to Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times.

That matches the pricing that was attached to Mayweather's blockbuster bout with Manny Pacquiao in May 2015, which went on to break PPV records with 4.6 million buys and over $410 million in revenue.

Mayweather and McGregor embark on a four-city tour this week with stops in Los Angeles, Toronto, Brooklyn, and London in advance of their Aug. 26 bout in Las Vegas that is expected to surpass the enormous success of Mayweather-Pacquiao.
