Greg Hardy will receive his next promotional bout at UFC Fight Night in Sunrise, Fla., on April 27 against Dmitry Smolyakov, sources told ESPN's Ariel Helwani.
Hardy, a heavyweight, was disqualified
from his Octagon debut in January after delivering an illegal knee to the head versus Allen Crowder. The former NFLer was a controversial signing by the UFC because of previous domestic violence allegations against him.
Smolyakov is 0-2 in UFC action but compiled an 8-0 record in other promotions.
The UFC is reportedly eyeing Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa to headline the card, but the availability of the former depends on when he gets eliminated from the reality show he's currently filming.
If Romero can't make a commitment soon, the UFC reportedly may pivot to Costa versus Ronaldo Souza at the April event.
